Corruption. Pakistan.

Zishan

As it relates to fundraising and how funds are dispersed, please give this article a read: http://tedfellows.posterous.com/heartbreak-8

On a somewhat related note, I had a long discussion with many generations of Pakistanis, from regular folks to government officials, and I anticipated varying degrees of complication in their answers, but the question was simple: how do we root out corruption in Pakistan?

Their resounding answer: you can’t.

I simply do not accept that.

Can any of you direct me to any organization or individual that endeavours to do this? Or anywhere there is an ongoing dialogue about this matter?

It is my sad duty to inform you that no people, on an individual or collective level, in and of them selves alone, are equipped to root out corruption in Pakistan. In fact, only the One True God can root out corruption in Pakistan. Furthermore, only the One True God can root out corruption ANYWHERE.

During this month of fasting, you are emptied of reliance on your flesh. The morning feast becomes of little effect when your empty stomach cries out for food. As Jesus the Messiah (pbuh) once told his apostle Peter, "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." My question to you, Zishan, is what are you going to do about it? When does prayer become more than routine and a crying out to The God, similar to the crying out your stomach makes for a snack between 12 pm and 4 pm? Has it? If yes, Allahu Akbar! If not, you may very well be missing out on a huge, huge, huge blessing The God has for your life.

The God spoke through Jeremiah (pbuh) once, saying, "You will seek Me, and you will find Me, when you search for me with all of your heart." Want to root out corruption? Pray for it to be rooted out. If The God seems distant, want to find him? Well, I think you know what to do.

Sorry, should have said in the previous reply, "When does prayer become more than routine, BUT INSTEAD, a crying out to The God, similar to the crying out your stomach makes for a snack between 12 pm and 4 pm?
